Classes are intimate, only 6 students each, many of whom re-enroll session after session. This translates into personal attention, continuity and sense of community.
My ideal student is interested in learning the poses rather than just doing them and is committed to regular attendance, a long term perspective and making a yoga practice part of their life.
Poses are methodically broken down for better understanding. Classes in a session build progressively. All poses are adapted to accommodate each student's level of experience. Emphasis is placed on correct breathing as your breath is the link between mind and body. Each class begins with a short meditation. Relaxation is taught through the use of restorative poses.
